We love movies, like REALLY love movies! Store owners and all round pop-culture geek sisters Alicia & Louise grew up devouring them. Back in the 80s while other kids were out kicking balls and riding bikes, we were cuddled up way too close to the 12" box tv - being warned not to sit too close because our eyes would turn square! Living through the adventures of the Goonies, getting slimed by ghosts with the Ghostbusters, helping Sarah & Ludo find Toby in The Labyrinth & dancing The Time Warp with Dr Frank N Furter. And smashing through every movie we could get our tiny hands on and staying up way past bedtime to record whatever movie was playing on TV that night on the trusty VCR - pausing and starting to make sure to edit out all the ads of course!
Now some might call this obsession with staying indoors and watching movies a waste of a day, but all of these hours of misspent youth have culminated into our love of all things pop culture, and paved the way for the store we own today! Owning a Pop Culture collectables shop is quite literally, what we have always wanted to do, some might say it was our destiny! We have taken our love for the classic movies of the 80s and 90s and poured it into our Little Shop of Horrors, and with ourselves being avid collectors of movie merchandise for many years, we are thrilled to be growing our range of toys, figures, collectables, Pop! Vinyls, cosplay replicas and more, every day.
Our Mornington Peninsula store has been lovingly curated, down to the finest detail to inspire and to give our customers an awesome Pop Culture experience like nowhere else in Melbourne - it really is so much more than just a shop! So when you're in need of a movie collectable for yourself or perhaps for a gift, swing by Little Shop of Horrors Costumery & Collectables in Mornington. Our range grows every day, our old fashioned customer service is top notch and you'll be supporting a small family owned business, and a couple of little geek girls dreams too!
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the beautiful Mornington Peninsula land on which we live, work and learn, the Boon Wurrung / Bunurong people. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future.
