Dumbo is the special Disney elephant who uses his big ears to fly away from trouble and sadness. Treated badly by circus owners, Dumbo received his name for being viewed as dumb, but his special ability to fly means he is always happy in the end. Dumbo is unlike any other circus animal in that he is semi-anthropomorphic. With his good friend, Timothy the mouse, he first touched our hearts way back in 1941 and is set to share his love again in a new Disney movie by Tim Burton in 2019.
