Yes! We’re a small, family-owned Australian business - and every single in-stock order is shipped directly from our Melbourne store. If specified, some of our Special Order products are shipped from our trusted supplier, also based right here in Melbourne. We’re not one of those dodgy overseas sellers that pretend to be Australian. We have a real, physical store you can actually visit and shop, and every order is personally handled with care by our team who genuinely love what we do.

You can trust that when your order leaves our hands, it’s been packed safely, thoughtfully, and with a little bit of Little Shop magic. If you ever need help, have a question, or just want to double-check something, please reach out. We’re always happy to help wherever we can.

Order Handling & Delivery

At our small business, customer satisfaction is our top priority. Whether your product is in-store or sourced from our supplier, rest assured that we handle each order with the utmost care. Orders are typically processed and packed within 1-5 business days, as indicated on the product page. Please note that during peak periods, like Halloween, processing times may vary. Special item orders, such as Custom Styled Lace Front Wigs, may require up to 6 weeks for delivery.

Once your order is packed, you will receive a tracking number to follow your order delivery progress. We primarily use Australia Post and StarTrack for deliveries, but may use alternative couriers as needed to ensure timely and secure delivery of your order. For any queries or concerns regarding the handling and delivery of your order, please reach out to our customer service team for assistance.

 

Returns

We want you to be 100% happy with your purchases from Little Shop of Horrors Costumery. So if your item is damaged or faulty please contact us ASAP within 7 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange. Please note we have a no refund policy for change of mind or party cancellations although you may return your item for an exchange only within 7 days.

Please note that all sales with Little Shop of Horrors are final and therefore non-refundable. We do not accept returns for any reason including but not limited to change of mind, party cancellations, item not worn etc, so please ensure you choose carefully before purchasing. This is a very common policy among small businesses, and aggressive behaviour in regard to your thoughts on our policy will not be tolerated.

Due to the sanitary needs associated with makeup, face paints, special effects products, wigs, contact lenses, hosiery and similar items at our discretion, returns/exchanges are not accepted.

Customer is responsible for all postage costs.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

ACCC Retail Business Guidelines: Occasions when consumers aren't entitled to a repair, replacement or refund

Consumers are not entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the ACCC consumer guarantees if:

  • they got what they asked for but simply changed their mind, found the product cheaper somewhere else, or decided they didn't like the purchase or had no use for it.
  • Incorrect size ordered 
  • the problem with the product was caused by the consumer misusing it
  • they knew of or were made aware of the problem with the product before they bought it (but they may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for a different problem with the product that wasn’t made clear to them before they bought it)

Damages

 Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Non-Returnable Items

 Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as makeup, special effects makeup, contact lenses, hosiery, under garments, wigs dental items & earrings due to Australian health & hygiene regulations. Cosmetics products cannot be returned. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Refunds

 If a refund is offered, we will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
