IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CARERS

We are a small, family-owned store run by two sisters, and our goal is for every customer’s visit to feel magical and memorable. To make that possible, we have created a dedicated experience for our disability and special needs visitors. These activities are designed to make sure your experience is wonderful, while at the same time supporting the wonderland you have journeyed to enjoy. Booking in advance is essential as it allows us to ensure the right staff are available, the space is prepared, and your visit is comfortable and enjoyable rather than leaving disappointed that it was not what you hoped for.

Our parking is limited and our store has a set capacity, which means we cannot accommodate unexpected busloads or large groups arriving without notice / pre-approval, especially during peak seasons. We also run many different services within our store, so it is essential that we schedule our workdays efficiently. This ensures every customer receives the best experience and the attention they deserve.

Little Shop of Horrors is a shop, not a theme park, so while the magic is endless, we don’t have food, drinks or bathroom facilities on site. We kindly ask visitors to plan ahead before their adventure.

We love welcoming all abilities and creating inclusive, unforgettable experiences, but they cannot be free. Our small business relies on purchases and bookings to keep the magic alive. Your support at the register is what allows us to continue building this wonderland and sharing it with everyone who walks through our doors.

Whether it is peeking into a film set, joining in a workshop, or experiencing the backlot, our store offers an experience that is welcoming, inclusive and unforgettable.

We are proud to be Melbourne’s most magical shopping experience, a place to browse treasures, collectables and costumes you will not find anywhere else. While there is no charge to enter our shop, please don’t forget your pocket money. Little Shop of Horrors is a store, created to be enjoyed by those who support us through shopping and booking our services. To keep the magic alive and make sure your visit is the very best it can be, we kindly ask that disability and special needs visitors and groups book one of our inclusive experiences, in advance. This ensures we have the staff, time and space ready to give you the magical journey you travelled here for, while supporting the wonderland created by two crazy sisters, with big dreams.

Frequently Asked Questions for Special Needs Visitors & Support Staff

No booking is needed if you are visiting to shop, just don’t forget your pocket money. If you would like to enjoy one of our experiences, bookings are essential, especially for groups. This ensures our staff and spaces are ready just for you.

We are first and foremost a store, so of course you are welcome to shop, just don’t forget your pocket money. For those wanting to enjoy the showroom setup and the magic we have created, we kindly ask that you book one of our experiences. This helps us make your visit as unforgettable as possible and allows us to plan our days to give every visitor the attention they deserve.

Groups of three or four are wonderful and easy for us to host. Larger groups can be tricky, as our store is designed for one-on-one service and can feel crowded for other customers. We do have a special needs experience set up just for you, but we kindly request that all groups - big or small - are planned ahead and booked in advance. Please call us on (03) 5977 1288 so we can prepare and make your visit as magical as possible.

Our most popular options start with our exclusive Special Needs activity and the full Hollywood Backlot adventure. To make your visit truly unforgettable, we also offer fabulous add-ons including Movie Makeovers, Wizardry Workshops, Princess Meet & Greets and even cinematic Photography sessions. Call us on (03) 5977 1288 to discuss how we can make your visit a magical one.

Yes, we have private carparking available that is reserved for our customers. To keep spaces open for everyone and to be mindful of our neighbours, we ask that any visits requiring a bus or large vehicle are arranged with us in advance. Please call ahead on (03) 5977 1288 so we can plan for your visit and ensure parking remains available for our other customers.

Yes. We warmly welcome disability and special needs visitors, and our experiences are created to be inclusive, supportive and fun for everyone. When you arrive for your booking, our team takes care to make sure you feel comfortable and at ease. Whether it is exploring our themed rooms, joining in a workshop, dressing up for a Movie Makeover, or having your portrait taken in our studio, we adapt each experience to suit your needs. Our goal is for every visitor to leave with big smiles, magical memories and hopefully some mementos of their Little Shop adventure.

We’re a small, family-run business - just two sisters who have poured everything into turning a factory space of 350 square metres into the magical wonderland you see today. We did our very best with the space and resources we had, but we’re not millionaires with unlimited room to build wide halls everywhere. Most of our store is wheelchair accessible, though a few of the themed rooms are smaller and some doorways a little narrower. With many displays throughout the store, there may also be some spots that are trickier to navigate, especially with larger chairs. Please know we’ve done everything we could to make it as welcoming as possible, and we’ll always do our best to help make your visit comfortable and enjoyable.

Please call ahead to book a time if you are visiting with a wheelchair so we can ensure displays are clear of walkways and ready for your visit.
