At Little Shop of Horrors, our Movie Makeovers are more than just dress-ups.. They’re full character experiences, brought to life by two sisters who grew up obsessed with movies, pop culture, and the thrill of the big screen.
At Little Shop of Horrors, our Character Photography experience is your chance to become your favourite movie icon, villain, or screen hero. This is the ultimate Movie Makeover — where you don’t just play the part… you become it.
From the moment you walk through the door, we’re all in. You’ll be styled from head to toe in one of our incredible costumes, with character-accurate makeup, a professional lace front wig application or vintage hairstyle, and all the support you need to bring your character to life.
In the Photography Studio, our photographer will guide you through every shot using dramatic lighting, bold shadows, and cinematic colour grading to create portraits that look like they belong on a movie poster. We’ll help you feel confident, have fun, and leave with images that not only look amazing — they feel like you, at your most fearless.
Watching a Movie Makeover unfold is one of the greatest joys of what we do. Seeing our clients catch their reflection and fall a little in love with their transformed self? That never gets old.

Our Movie Makeovers are all brought to life, in-house by our talented team of two. We have it all, all under one roof. From our incredible costume collection to cinematic makeup, lace front wigs, and killer photography, we’re an in-house Movie Makeover powerhouse.
And more than that — Little Shop of Horrors Costumery is a safe space for everyone. We’re proudly women-owned, and everything we do is built on the belief that creativity should feel fun, freeing, and inclusive. This is a nurturing, encouraging space where you’ll be celebrated exactly as you are - in a safe, welcoming and fun environment.

MEET SISTER #1 - ALICIA
Before Photoshop… there was Alicia. With over 30 years behind the lens, Alicia’s photography journey began in a Kodak lab in the ’90s, developing film by hand and learning the craft the old-school way. Today, she blends that technical mastery with an editorial eye and a deep love for transformation. She doesn’t just take your photo — she captures your character. Every frame is guided, lit, and retouched with cinematic precision. Whether it’s vintage glamour or full-blown fantasy, Alicia’s passion is making people feel incredible on camera.

MEET SISTER #2 - LOUISE
Louise is the creative force behind all of our most iconic transformations. As our in-house makeup artist and costumier, she brings characters to life with expert skill, passion, and just the right amount of chaos. She’s obsessed with iconic cinema and has the kind of encyclopaedic movie knowledge that guarantees the perfect result. Entirely bonkers (in the best way), she’s exactly who you want in your corner - ready to transform you, then guide your gestures and expressions to absolutely nail the brief.

It’s about making magic in the middle of your real life. Escaping into a character. Feeling safe, seen, fabulous. Laughing until your eyeliner smudges. Playing dress-up like you did when you were a kid… except now there’s Prosecco, professional lighting, and glitter.
The world is a lot right now. But inside Little Shop of Horrors, it’s a bubble of make-believe, movie magic, and total joy. And at the end of it all… you walk away with photos you’ll adore.

Two sisters one dream… and a life spent chasing it
Hand on heart, there’s really nowhere else quite like this. Trust us… there's no one crazy enough to commit their lives to it like we have!
We’re not just a costume hire studio.
We’re not just a makeup salon.
We’re not just a photography space.
We’re all of the above!
Built from scratch by two sisters with movie magic in their blood.
This whole thing? It started in our Oma’s sitting room in the ’90s, binge-watching cult classics on a 12-inch TV with a clunky VCR. We’d bring it with us on sleepovers, connect all the cables, and rewatch movies over and over until the tape wore thin. We can still quote most of them line-for-line — feel free to test this theory on us!
Louise’s first job was in a video store, where every day was the best day ever - memorising cover art, reviewing new releases, and running a slightly illegal VHS dubbing ring from her teenage bedroom (complete with rental forms, thank you very much).
Meanwhile, Alicia was wagging school to orchestrate full photo shoots with her friends, forcing them into suitcases with wrinkled sheet backdrops pegged to cupboard doors. She’s been obsessed with cameras, styling, and catching the feeling of a moment ever since.
We always knew we wanted to create a movie-themed, pop-culture emporium. And that's exactly what we've created. And let's be real… we were born for this!
This caper is never going to make us rich - that’s never been the point. We do it for the twinkle in your eye when you see your reflection and can’t believe it’s you. When your mates double-take and ask if you’re an extra from the film. When we see you absolutely loving yourself sick in the mirror.
This is our life’s ambition, and we give it 200% every time.
