Deluxe Styled Lace Front Wigs
What Makes Ours So Good?
Not all wigs are created equal — and once you’ve worn a deluxe lace front, there’s no going back. Ours are crafted from high-quality heat-resistant synthetic fibre with a premium weft density of 180%, so you get serious volume without the bulk. They’re soft, lush, and feel as good as they look.
The magic is in the lace. Each strand is hand-tied along a sheer front panel, giving you a natural-looking hairline that blends seamlessly into your skin. No harsh edges, no awkward lines — just hair that looks like it belongs there.
They’re comfortable to wear, easy to style, and built to hold up under party lights, theatre rigs or camera flashes. Whether you’re on stage or just want to feel next-level fabulous, a great lace front wig will make you feel unstoppable.
Pros:
Instant transformation - changes your whole look in seconds
Picture perfect - looks incredible in photos and under stage lighting
Natural hairline - blends beautifully thanks to hand-tied lace
No hair stress - great for bad hair days, thinning hair, or total coverage
Reusable - wear it again and again with proper care
No commitment - new hair colour or style without the damage
Custom styled = zero effort - someone else has already done the hard work
Theatrical magic - essential for stage, screen or character accuracy
They hold - won’t wilt or fall flat halfway through your event
Cons:
Cheap wigs aren’t good.. and good wigs aren’t cheap - A lace front is an investment. (But worth every cent!)
Takes a little prep time - but still less than styling your own hair.
Not much else... custom styled lace front wigs are AMAZING!! This line is only here to fill in a bit of space!!

How to Apply Your Wig
(Without Wrecking It.. or cracking it!)
1. Trim the lace.
Before the first wear, carefully trim back the lace in a semi circle around the forehead. Leave about 1.5cm to 2.5cm of lace — or whatever you feel comfortable with. It differs for everyone.
2. Prep your hair.
Section your hair with plaits or pin curls, as flat to your scalp as possible, avoiding the dreaded “egg head” under your wig. This also gives you anchor points for your bobby pins to grab onto, ensuring your lace front wig holds firm.
3. Put the wig on properly.
When putting on a lace front wig, DO NOT flip it upside down over your head — it’s the quickest way to ruin a styled wig or turn a shake & go wig into a frizz ball. Lower it gently onto your head, keeping the styling intact. Position the hairline of the wig over your natural hairline so it looks as natural as possible.
4. Secure the wig.
Use the combs inside the wig, sliding them through your wig cap and into the anchor points in your hair. Then add as many bobby pins as you need, hidden in the wig fibres, pushing them through the net and into your hair to hold everything firmly in place.
5. Set the lace with spirit gum.
For extra hold, apply spirit gum at the temples. Wait until it’s tacky, then use a piece of stocking or soft fabric to gently press the lace into place. This not only avoids gluey fingers but also helps blend the lace seamlessly into your skin.
6. Final touches.
Gently comb the wig into place so it sits how you want it to… then plaster it with hairspray. And just like that — you’re fabulous!
“Did three numbers, got hugged by ten drunk women, and it still looked flawless.”
How to Wash Your Wig
You should be able to get multiple wears out of your wig… depending, of course, on how wild the night got. If it’s been through dancing, sweating, stage lights or serious hairspray… when it’s ready for a refresh, follow these steps to bring it back to life.
Soak your lace front wig in cold to tepid water (do not use hot, as you’ll heat the fibres and risk losing the curl that’s been heat set!) and add washing powder or shampoo. Leave it to soak if there’s product buildup, then gently agitate and massage to lift the hairspray and styling residue.
Rinse with fabric softener, then again with clean water. This helps keep synthetic fibres soft and manageable - and smelling divine!
Carefully hang the wig by the nape to dry naturally. Once dry, gently comb and style. Put the hairbrushes down - wide-tooth combs are your new best friend. They help prevent damage and keep the shape intact.
If you’re unsure, ask your wig stylist for advice on restoring volume or keeping your set intact between wears. Start at the bottom of the wig and work your way up slowly, taking care not to pull or stretch the fibres. Treat it with respect, and your wig will keep turning heads every time you wear it.
How to Style a Lace Front Wig
If your wig is already styled by a wig stylist, lucky you, your work is done. But if you’re fresh out of the bag or going for a custom look, here’s what you need to know.
First things first… check if your lace front wig is heat-safe. Even then, it’s risky. Heat tools over 140°C can easily melt synthetic fibres, so unless you know exactly what you’re doing, it’s not worth the gamble. We always recommend steam over direct heat — it’s safer, more forgiving, and won’t destroy the structure of the wig.
To add volume, backcomb carefully at the roots and build the shape with clips before setting the style. Spray generously with a firm hold hairspray — we use Got2B Glued as our go-to. Style, shape, set… and repeat if needed.
Wide-tooth combs are essential. They let you shape and define without dragging through the fibres or frizzing out your style. Start at the ends and gently work upward. No yanking, no brushing it like real hair. It’s not real hair.
For a fast fix, shake & go wigs can be fluffed up and sprayed into shape. But don’t expect miracles. Even a shake & go benefits from a little lift and love.
And here’s the truth — custom wig styling is an art form. If you want it to look picture-perfect, get it professionally styled and set. Wigs styled by a trained wig stylist don’t just hold better… they look better. The shape, the silhouette, the way it frames your face — all of that comes from experience.
Better yet, let us do it for you. Bring in your wig or choose from our collection and we’ll style it in-house to suit your character, event, or aesthetic. Whether it’s vintage glamour, villainous drama or screen-accurate perfection, we’ll make sure it looks as good as it feels.

STYLED LACE FRONT WIGS
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer postage for styled wigs?
We do! You can book a styled lace front wig to be shipped anywhere in Australia. Whether you’re prepping for a stage show in Sydney, a cosplay con in Brisbane, or a party in Perth — we’ve got you covered. Every wig is carefully packed to hold its style in transit and arrives ready to wear.
What is a lace front wig and why should I choose one?
A lace front wig features a sheer mesh panel at the front hairline with individually hand-tied strands, creating a seamless, natural-looking finish. Unlike regular costume wigs, lace fronts allow you to style the hair off your face without giving away the secret. They’re ideal for stage, photography, events or everyday confidence — and once you’ve worn one, it’s hard to go back.
How often should I wash a lace front wig?
You should be able to get multiple wears out of your lace front wig before it needs a wash — depending on the craziness of your activities while wearing it! If it’s full of hairspray, makeup, or sweat, it’s ready for a refresh. Wash every 10–15 wears, or sooner if it’s looking tired. Use cold or tepid water (never hot!), and always hang to dry by the nape. No brushes — just a gentle wide-tooth comb once it’s dry.
Can a wig stylist customise or style wigs for different occasions?
Absolutely. A professional wig stylist can shape, secure and style your lace front wig to match any look — from a vintage glamour shoot to a full-blown main stage moment. They’ll trim and blend the lace, style the hair to suit your features, and secure everything so it holds from curtain up to curtain call. At Little Shop of Horrors, we style wigs for theatre, TV, parties, drag, burlesque, cosplay — and yes, even Santa.
Can I use heat tools on a lace front wig?
We recommend not using heat tools on your lace front wig — even if it’s made with heat-resistant fibres. Direct heat can still damage the texture, loosen curls, or melt the fibres altogether. If you absolutely must, test in an inconspicuous area first and keep the temperature under 140°C. For best results, we suggest using steam instead. It’s safer, more forgiving, and helps maintain the integrity of your wig without the drama.
