A movie makeover is a fully immersive character styling and photography experience. You’ll work with our expert team to choose a character or look, get professionally styled and made up in our in-house salon, and then step into the spotlight for your very own cinematic photoshoot.
Whether you’re channeling a golden age Hollywood icon, a horror movie villain, a fairytale princess, or something completely unique, we’ll help bring that vision to life - and make you feel like the star you are.

At Little Shop of Horrors, our Character Photography experience is your chance to become your favourite movie icon, villain, or screen hero. This is the ultimate Movie Makeover.
From the moment you arrive, we’re all in. You’ll be styled from head to toe in one of our incredible screen-quality costumes, with character-accurate makeup and either a professional wig application or custom hair styling. We’ll guide you through the whole experience, from choosing the right look to posing in character, we’re here to make sure you feel confident, have fun, and walk away with photos that feel as epic as your love for the character.
Watching the transformation as the Movie Makeover unfolds in front of our eyes is one of the greatest thrills of what we do, and in the studio, our photographer brings it to life using dramatic lighting, bold shadows, and cinematic colour to create a final result that captures you as your favourite character in photos you’ll absolutely love.

The costume is where the fantasy starts to take shape. Our costume hire collection is filled with screen-worthy garments, vintage pieces, and custom-created looks designed for maximum epicness.
From beaded 1920s flapper gowns to velvet capes, gothic queens, Moulin Rouge divas, vampire royalty, sci-fi sirens, and cult characters, there’s something for every dream. For our Movie Makeovers we don’t do “barely there aesthetic.” Our cinematic makeup is bold, sculpted, glamorous, and unapologetically theatrical.
Our in-house Cinemagraphic Makeup Artist, Louise, has decades of experience transforming faces into characters - not just beautifying, but creating art. Think sculpted cheekbones, smokey eyes, vintage eyeliner flicks, intense contour, blocked brows, prosthetics, glitter, stage makeup - whatever your character calls for.
We specialise in character looks. You’ll be styled in-house with makeup and either vintage hair or a styled lace-front wig, with every detail polished to perfection.
Lights, Camera… You
Once you’re fully transformed, it’s time to step into your spotlight!
Our studio photoshoots are relaxed, guided, sometimes loud, always fun and designed to make you feel confident - whether you’re a seasoned performer or completely new to being in front of the camera. We’ll pose you, hype you, and make sure your shots capture not just how you look… but how you feel in your character.
Photographer Alicia brings decades of experience in both analogue and digital photography - from darkrooms and developer trays to high-end digital retouching. You’ll be lit like a film still, guided like a model, and photographed like a star.
And if you want a whisky, a glass of bubbles, or just a moment to breathe in between, we’ve got you. This is your Movie Makeover moment - we’re just here to make sure it shines.

Gallery Selection & Ordering
After your Movie Makeover shoot, you’ll receive a private online gallery of watermarked proofs to view in your own time. From there, you can select your favourite images to purchase - either individually or as part of a curated bundle.
Each image you select is professionally and meticulously retouched by hand. This isn’t app-filter editing. This is real cinematic retouching, done pixel by pixel. We colour-grade for mood and drama, sculpt light and shadow, smooth flyaways, refine details, and polish every portrait to perfection.
It’s the kind of editing normally reserved for editorial spreads and celebrity shoots… and yes, you deserve it too.
We’ve intentionally kept our shoot pricing lower by not including images up front. Why? Because some people only want one epic shot. Others want twenty. You decide how far you want to go.
