Trained as a Jedi by Luke Skywalker, he was taken to the dark side by Supreme Leader Snoke in Disney/Lucas Film's blockbuster Star Wars movies The Force Awakens (2015) and The Last Jedi. Played by Actor Adam driver, Kylo is as dark on the inside as his black cloak and helmet.
